Wizkid beseeches a better 2024, saying, "2023 show me shege"
Wizkid’s admission may not be unconnected to his mother’s demise.

Well-renowned Afrobeats musician from Nigeria, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known by his stage as Wizkid, has lamented how hard 2023 was on him.
On Sunday night, the singer posted an Instagram story to corroborate this. He continued by expressing his hope for a brighter 2024.
“23, please show me Shege!” 24 be kind to me.
Recall that in August of 2023, Wizkid lost his mother while traveling throughout Europe in support of his album, "More Love Less Ego."
The musician called the experience his "deepest pain in life."
