Wiawso forest district to plant 400,000 trees on Green Ghana day

After the successful planting of 5million trees in Ghana on the maiden edition of the Green Ghana agenda which began in 2021, the second edition will come off on June 10. A total number of 20million has been targeted to be planted across the country.

Speaking to Soireenews, the Sefwi Wiawso forestry manager, Mr. Raymond Boahman has disclosed that the Wiawso forest district together with the Western North region is to plant a total of 400,000 trees on June 10, 2022, this year's edition of the Green Ghana project.

This is a significant increment of times four of the number of trees planted in the maiden edition of the Green Ghana agenda.

Mr. Raymond has therefore urged all to anticipate the upcoming exercise and patronize.

He stated that the 400,000 trees would be planted in forests, homes, schools, and other places.

He has therefore urged everyone who would want to plant a tree to book for the number he'd like since the number has now increased.

Nonetheless, he has urged everyone to support the agenda to ensure a green Ghana to restore the depleted forests and climatic trees.
