We must fight LGBTQI+ than Covid-19 - Suhum MP
Ghana's Parliament

The Honourable Member of Parliament for Suhum constituency, Mr Kwadwo Asante has urged Parliament and Ghanaians, in general, to fight LGBTQI+ with all our strength and laws as a country even stronger than the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Suhum MP pleaded with the Rt Honorable Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin and the leadership of Parliament to do everything within their mandate to get such a demonic act out of the country in order not to encounter the wrath of Jehovah God.

"Mr Speaker can you just imagine what is just going to happen when all women decide to engage in lesbian act and all men decide to engage in gaysm, Mr Speaker, I can say, and I can bet you that we are going to terminate human race".

Mr Asante, better known by his constituents as 'Oboafuo' made these comments in Parliament last Friday when a statement was made on the floor by a member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam George and other MPs to show their displeasure towards the activities of the gaysm and lesbianism in the country to the extent of demanding for right in Ghana and also launch a place as office for LGBTQI+.

This made the Honourable Minority Chief Whip and MP for Asawase, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak to call on President Akufo-Addo to bring a law in Parliament that would clearly deal with the issue of lesbianism and gaysm as criminal  Act in Ghana, if indeed  President Akufo-Addo really meant his words for saying, "the issue gaysm and lesbianism can never happen in Ghana as he still remains the President."
