We don't have better candidate, than John Mahama - NDC's Sorfo Azoka to EIU

The National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Sofo Azoka has rubbished the EIU report, by London-based international researchers.

According to the EIU five-year report on Ghana, NDC stands a chance of recapturing power in the 2024 elections if they change a candidate aside from John Dramani Mahama.

The EIU indicated that the NDC's chances are brighter with a fresh candidate other than John Mahama to revitalize its prospects.

Speaking to Soireenews in Tamale, Chief Azoka who happens to be the former Northern Regional Chairman of the party slammed the report, stating that those behind it have been compromising and addicted to alcohol. 

According to him, a former president is a result-oriented person, and his remaining four years of the term would be far better than Akufo Addo's eight.

He said the report is just for comic relief, which shouldn't be taken seriously by well-meaning Ghanaians.

"For us, we don't care, John Mahama's remaining four years will be far better than this government, you EIU people you have gone to take wine and you have come to tell us to change a fresh candidate, who do we have in NDC to change if not the same John Mahama, John Mahama is the best for NDC, so we are not changing him today, we are not changing him tomorrow". He noted.

He mentioned that managers of the report are confused and now want to eject their thoughts into Ghanaians.

Chief Azoka further advised members of the opposition party to be vigilant and participate fully in the 2022 general elections.
