Wa MCE begins unity outreach among party members

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Wa Municipality, Hon Issahaku Tahiru Moomin, as part of his resolve to garner support for the development of the municipality, has moved to mend ways with his party leaders and members for the common goal of all for the forward match of the municipality.

According to the MCE, the development of every area hinges on the unity of the people to draw the needed growth, intimating that it is the reason why he and the party leadership had taken the lead by taking the bold step to bury the hatchet before asking the larger population to get united for development.

The MCE said this at Guli-naa's Palace on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, as part of his working and 'thank you tour' to express gratitude to chiefs and people of the municipality for the roles they played in his reappointment and confirmation as the Wa MCE to steer the affairs of the municipality once more.

He assured the chiefs and the people in the municipality of his commitment to the development of the area.

On his part, the Paramount Chief of the Guli Traditional Area, Naa Seidu Bramah, eulogized the MCE for what he maintained is the MCE's brave decision in unifying his party ostensibly for the development of the municipality.

He, however, enumerated some developmental challenges bedeviling his traditional area to the MCE which includes:  the alleged misconducts by some Police officers along with the Wa magazine and Guli road allegedly extorting monies from his people which he said needed to stop.

He also mentioned the lack of furniture across the various schools in his traditional area, lack of potable drinking water at Dobile, kpongu, Guli, and its environs, the need to extend electricity to Guli and opening of access roads from kpongu to Nakori, Dobile to kambali, Dobile to mangu, as well as Saanyuo street.

The Paramount Chief also bemoaned the practice where nurses on duty at the Kpongu CHIPS often run home after 12pm.

Alhaji Issahaku also assured the chief and his people to work on the aforementioned challenges with the support of the chiefs and his people.

At Bihee, Bihee-Naa Nantasung jarfar pelpuo hailed the MCE and the party for taking steps to smoke the peace pipe and charged the MCE and the Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Ali Abdul-Kareem Kamara, to maintain a healthy relationship and not allow anything to divide them again in order to help move the municipality forward since according to him, many youths in the municipality were really suffering and that as the adage goes, when two figures in authority fight, those who suffer the consequences of their action most are the youth.

The MCE in response gave the word of his commitment to the development of the youth.
