One In Custody, Two Injured At Nima Over Gun Fight
It is alleged that on 18/01/2022 at about 1530hrs, there was a clash between the groups along the main road from Nima upwards.

Two Persons namely, Soala Yusif and Kwadwo Boateng who happened to be around the scene received bullet wounds and are currently at the 37 Military Hospital receiving treatment.
On 18/01/2022 at about 1525hrs, information was received From the Police Information room that some youth around Nima Gutter were fighting with guns and machetes however, the Patrol team from National Operations Department, the Greater Accra Patrol Team as well as Patrol Teams in Amina and Kotobabi were deployed to the scene to maintain Law and Order.
DCOP/MR.Mohammed, SURAJ/D-G/OPS, ACP/MR. Abraham Acquaye/Nima Divisional Commander and SUPT/MR. Kwado Appiah/Divisional Crime Officer, Kotobabi District Commander, and the Crime Officer moved to the scene to assess the situation.
There was a misunderstanding yesterday between two rival groups namely " BOMBOM GROUP" led by Ali Awudi and "KUMODJI GROUP” led by Ibrahim Hussain based in Mamobi and Nima Gutter respectively.
It is alleged that on 18/01/2022 at about 1530hrs, there was a clash between the groups along the main road from Nima upwards.
12 fired empty shells and one live bullet were retrieved from the scene whiles three AAA life ammunition, 1 pistol magazine, 2 machetes, 2 knives, a toy pistol, and 2 mobile phones were also retrieved from a barbering shop that was vandalized by the rioters.
