Ghanaian artiste, Wendy Shay, has announced that she has obtained her Voters ID after participating in the ongoing registration.

The songstress uploaded a video of herself going through the several biometric processes of registration; the fingerprinting and the face scan, on the way to obtaining her first-ever voters' card since relocating to Ghana to pursue her music career.

Wendy Shay dropped a message for her fans, asking them to also obtain their cards in order to fulfill their obligations as law-abiding citizens.

 “ My first voters' ID card. Be a citizen and not a Spectator. ShayGang go out and register. The power is in the thumb”. She wrote as a caption for the video.

This comes in sharp contrast with the message that popular Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, has dropped.

She is of the opinion that it is not safe to go out to register during the times of the pandemic. Asking all her fans to use their common sense, the actress maintained that the process is putting lives at risk and should, therefore, be scrapped.
