A man believed to be in his 40s identified as Kwadwo Bene popularly known as Sosey from Seikwa has reportedly died from an inferno that engulfed a wooden structure he abodes while asleep.

A man believed to be in his 40s identified as Kwadwo Bene popularly known as Sosey from Seikwa has reportedly died from an inferno that engulfed a wooden structure he abodes while asleep.
Residents who spoke to Soiree News revealed attempts to save the victim were unsuccessful as the fire-ravaged on.
The charred body of Bene, a trader by profession was discovered by the personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) on Thursday morning at Area 4 Akuoko Electoral Area in the Sunyani municipality after bringing down the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown as firefighters are yet to launch their investigations.
But the Assemblymember for the area Honourable . Raphael Kasim in an interview with Soireenews said, 'the neighbours suspected it was as a result of the mosquito coil the victim has been using that caught fire with the stock of socks he had in the room".     
He advised the residents to consult the Sunyani Municipal Assembly before raising any unauthorized structure to prevent such occurrences in the future.  
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue at the time of filing this report.
In a related development, fire also destroyed shops near the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UNER) where several properties worth millions of Ghana cedis.
