Hammer has tasked Ghanaian music stakeholders with highlighting the positives within the ongoing beef between Shatta Wale and MOG Beatz.

The beef started when MOG Beatz accused Shatta Wale of not paying him a dime despite all the tracks he produced for the reggae dancehall act on the Reign Album which was released three years ago.

MOG Beatz maintained that he did not receive proper compensation for the ten tracks that he tendered for Shatta Wale in the album.

“Money Man @shattawalegh, me I dey see you as a big brother I never had. I know say you no be STINGY like that lol, I produced 10 songs on the #ReignAlbum but ano see no CASH from you since 2018. Seeing this made me laugh sooo hard Face with tears of joyFace with tears of joyFace with tears of joy” He wrote, on his Twitter page.

Although Shatta Wale made a rebuttal by saying that he properly compensated MOG Beatz;

“Now I want you to know I bought your beat for 100gh each ..so I have paid you a long time and I thank God I didn’t waste money cuz all those songs sef no hit because of today ...kwasiaaa”. Shatta Wale said amidst other social media abuses.

Hammer has been quick to point out the disconnect between the work of producers for artistes and how much they get paid.

He stated that the two individuals have raised a big issue that needs to be addressed.

Admitting his guilt on the matter, Hammer confessed that he and others didn’t respect their royalties and franchise some years ago.

According to him, their generation was selling CD rights and cassettes without looking far.

Hammer further recalled how Jayso was tagged ‘the too known’ producer because artistes were asked to sign split sheets when they go to his studio.
