The 3 Children whilst riding their bicycle fell into a dugout at a laterite mining site and were rescued dead.

All the 3 bodies have since been conveyed by the police and awaiting autopsy at the Police Hospital in Accra.

Some eyewitnesses have spoken to  Soireenews on how the whole incident unfolded.

But they have also complained about how sand-winning activities have been affecting residents of Eric Addo Estates, a suburb of Tuba in the Ga South Municipality. They say even though several complaints have been made to authorities nothing was done until the unfortunate incident has happened.

At the residences of the 3 Children namely, Elisha Adu, 12, Samuel Adjei Mensah aka Tawiah, 9, and Isaac Amoah, aged 8, sadness and sorrow are welcoming atmospheres as family members have converged to wail the souls of these innocent ones.

Mother of Elisha Adu aged 12 who is a twin brother and Samuel Adjei Mensah aka Tawia aged 9 could not even open up about the incident as the demise of her children seemed to have overshadowed her.

Esther Dankwaa is the mother of Isaac Amoah, one of the victims aged 8, she narrates to power News how the incident unfolded.

Meanwhile, the chief of the vicinity, Nii Akadja, said several calls on the authority to have the sand-winning activity ended have yielded no response.

He said it appears to be that authorities have abandoned the area and have no priority on the welfare of residents.
