The UN says it is extremely concerned about the escalating fighting in Libya between armed groups and the threats to use force to redress the political crisis there.

Since the eastern-based parliament of Libya nominated a new prime minister despite the fact that Tripoli already had a prime minister in place who refused to abdicate without a vote, the country has been mired in a political impasse.
