A 55 year old trunk welder called Agya Atta has been allegedly murdered by his wife at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

The sad incident occurred on Sunday December 12,2021.

Information gathered by Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent, Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful revealed that, the man had a misunderstanding with his wife who resides elsewhere.

Report revealed that, the couple always quarrel anytime the wife visits the husband.

Speaking in an interview with Soireenews, an apprentice to the deceased said, they were at their work place on Friday when Agya Atta's wife called complaining bitterly about the upkeep of their son and that she was bringing the boy over to the man.

This caused a heated argument on the phone because the man was not ready to cater for a year old son on his own, alongside his work.

According to the apprentice, his boss left after ending the call, telling him that he was going to get something from his house.

He explains that his boss was not coming back after quite a while, and calls to his phone yielded no results.

He closed the shop and followed up at Agya Atta's house only to be told that he is dead in his room.

Some of the occupants in the house said Agya Atta's wife came to his room few minutes after the deceased came from work.

According to the neighbours, there was a heated argument between the two, followed by silence. They later saw the woman leave and locked the door.

Later, that evening their attention was drawn to the absence of Agya Atta, so they decided to check on him, only to find his lifeless body in his room.

Efforts to reach Agya Atta's wife proved futile.

The case was then reported to the Mankessim Police command.

The Police came and conveyed the body to the Saltpond Government Hospital pending autopsy.

No arrest has bee made so far.

Meanwhile, police are on a manhunt for the wife who is now the prime suspect.
