Wilson was also instrumental in helping playwright and actress Nia Vardalos get a movie deal for the smash film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

Hanks, though not of Greek descent himself, has often taken to social media to celebrate the Mediterranean culture and even spent his birthday in the country earlier this month. In January, Hanks rang in the new year by tweeting, "Starting 2020 as an Honorary citizen of all of Greece! Kronia pola! ( more or less, 'happy year!'). Hanx"

Sigxaritiria (Congratulations), Tom, and Rita!
