Ghanaian artiste, Yaa Jackson, has said that female artistes need to support each other in the industry if they hope to go head to head with their male counterparts.

She said this following Singer Sefa's claim that female artistes don't get any support in the music industry until they expose their bodies. Sefa made this claim in support of Wiyaala's stance of doing music in Ghana the pure way and not using erotic tactics to gain attention.

Wiyaala maintained that stooping so low to using negative schemes to generate traffic like Akuapem Poloo and Afia Schwarzenegger practice is not something that female artistes should make a habit of doing. Singer Sefa agreed to her views and theorized that the so-called "pundits" in the industry are the ones forcing female artistes into a corner.

Yaa Jackson has now said while speaking to GNA Entertainment, that if no one will support female artistes, they should all learn to support each other since there are many of them in the industry.

"Unity is strength and is about time we female artistes realize that we need to be on the same page to push up our respective brands to enable us to compete with the guys.

"We should support each other by every means possible. For example, if a female artiste drops a good song we should promote it as the male artistes do,"

The Afrobeat sensation also admitted that she misses doing shows even though she knows that there's a pandemic raging on.

"I miss vibing with fans but as an artist, you need to devise new ways of connecting with your fans through various streaming platforms to help generate funds to sustain your craft and that is exactly what am doing.'' She concluded.
