Thomas Tuchel is expected to be appointed as Frank Lampard’s successor on Tuesday according to talkSPORTS.

The German is the ideal man chosen for the job following Roman Abramovich’s consultations on who could bring out the best of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.

The German has what it takes to define the best of players, having already been of assistance to Kylian Mbappe and Neymar during his time at Paris Saint Germain where he guided the Ligue 1 champions to their first Champions League finals.

“I am disappointed not to have had the time this season to take the club forward and bring it to the next level," he said.

“I want to thank Mr Abramovich, the board, players, my coaching team and everyone at the club for their hard work and dedication, especially in these unprecedented and challenging times.

“I wish the team and the club every success for the future.”
