The Relationship Between The Indian High Commisioner And The Bono East Region Has Been Developed

Mr. Sugandh Rajaram, India's high commissioner to Ghana, pledged to work hard to improve connections between India and the Bono East region through agriculture investment.

He stated that agricultural investment will help the two countries' socioeconomic development and hence benefit human development.

The high commissioner stated that India had made progress in agriculture over the years and would thus share its knowledge with the region, which was poised to become the country's agricultural hub.

Mr. Sugandh Rajaram made the promise during a courtesy call on Mr. Kwasi Adu Gyan, the regional Minister, at his Techiman office.

The call kicks off his four-day working tour to the Region, where he will gain firsthand knowledge of the region and lay the groundwork for bilateral agro-investment promotion.

Working together, Mr. Rajaram said, would also encourage human resource development, which would enhance people's socioeconomic circumstances, particularly the youth, by creating jobs.

He stated that Indian funding for the region would build a strong agriculture framework that would promote holistic development and that some Indian businesses had already shown interest in investing in the region.
