The Police Will Arrest Anyone Involved in the Shooting Incident at Borae-Defence Minister.

It will be recalled that, on the 20th November 2022, there was a shooting incident at Borae which lead to the death of the chief and two other people in the Krachi Nchumburu District of the Oti  Region over a piece of land in the area.

Following this incident, the Minister of Defence, Honourable Dominic paid a courtesy call to the area to access the situation and to console the bereaved family.

According to him, it is a criminal act to handle a gun in Ghana to kill someone spontaneously without any offence.

Adding that he will make sure that anyone involved in the act will be arrested and prosecuted by the police and assured that, all the necessary efforts have been made to put in place to trace the perpetrators.

He said someone is behind all this and they will not leave anyone out but called on those behind the incident to desist from such an act.

He continued by advising the Kokombas and the Nchumburus to live together in peace and harmony for their progress but the government will not leave anyone out but chase them out from their hideout.

The Minister was accompanied by the Oti Regional minister Honourable Joshua Makubu, the District Chief Executive and the security personnel in the region.

The people in the area therefore called on the Minister as a matter of urgency to being the perpetrators to book and persecute them to pave way for peace and unity to prevail among the people.
