A political science lecturer at the University of Ghana (UG), Professor Ransford Gyampo,
has cautioned that the action of thr Inspector General of Police (IGP) George Akuffo Dampare to alight from his vehicle to buy his own food should be a caution to the people in the country.
In a write-up by Professor Gyampo about the current happenings in the country, he stressed thar the current action of the IGP to be the best form of caution to all of us.
He write up reads in part "Dearly Beloved,
When the IGP alighted from his vehicle to buy his own food, people saw it as a sign of humility; some saw it as an unnecessary show-off; his detractors felt he was too-known; and some also felt he was cheapening the position.
But we can also say he was, and he is still being very careful.
We must know this too well that, when you reach a certain position or level in life, you need to be careful with what you eat, where you eat, who you send to go buy you food, and who you eat from.
This is because we live amongst jealous and wicked people with friendly faces and loving pretensions.
But how careful can man be? To avoid unnecessary paranoia, the best way to be careful is, while being careful, we must also commit ourselves into the hands of God all the time, trust and obey Him, for His divine protection from very wicked people who childishly think they won’t ever die too.
