On Wednesday, Gambian President Adama Barrow announced the appointment of a new cabinet, which includes the country's vice-president and important ministers, according to the government spokesman, Ebrima Sankareh, who spoke on state television.

Dr. Isatou Touray has been replaced as the vice-president by Alieu Badara Joof, a former education minister.

According to the Kerr Fatou website, eleven ministers were retained in the new 23-member government, which includes three women.
