The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Kwabre East District, Hon. Osei Assibey Bonsu has assured residents that the new state-of-the-art ambulance provided by the government will work for their interest and outdo preferentialism.

The Kwabre East District were part of the 47 constituencies in the Ashanti Region that received the ambulance at the Regional Coordinating Council during the handing over ceremony on Thursday morning, January 30, 2020.

The New ambulance will provide immediate and effective life-saving care in a safe and clinical working environment with maximum mobility. Well-trained personnel in first aid skills have been employed and trained to be able to deal with profuse bleeding, crush and fall injuries, cardiac arrests, road accidents, and much more.

Speaking after the program, Hon. Assibey Bonsu addressed that the medically equipped vehicle will help to save lives in situations, which require immediate medical care, and avoid a fraction of a second delay which can drastically change somebody's life.

“We have finally received our ambulance and everything shows that the car has been defined. We are heading straight to Kwabre and will publicly showcase the vehicle to dissolve doubts and make people witnesses,” he said.

“The ambulance will be of good use to the people and will help to stabilize and treat patients quickly to prevent any mishap before the patient reaches the hospital. They provide immediate and effective life-saving care in a safe and clinical working environment with maximum mobility.

“The ambulance will be present at wherever it is needful to be at. Some people have lost their lives in situations they were not supposed to and we believe the ambulance has come to save lives and make the work of physicians easier.

The Kwabre East MCE acknowledged Nana Addo Dankwa for his useful implementations towards the Nation and called for the need to adopt a maintenance culture to preserve the vehicles.

“The government has done so well amidst the criticism of some people.

“There is no lies in what the president promised. All we must do is to be able to maintain the cars to last longer. Failure to preserve it is subject to failure. People who are carried in it should avoid theft to help it serve the purpose at which it was brought,” he added.
