Tell us if we are not part of Ghana - Residents ask government.

Some residents of Asrifikurom, a community in the Adansi Asokwa district of the Ashanti region are asking the government to tell them if they are not part of Ghanaians anymore.

Soireenews Yaw Opoku in an interview with some residents disclosed that electricity polls have been mounted within the community since 2009, but they are yet to witness the presence of light.

We were asked by the constructor to lay stretch through the forest for the mounting of the polls which we did exactly that a resident said.

He continued that, after laying the polls in the community none of the authorities h come to seek the progress of the work.

Meanwhile, we were promised by the member of parliament for the Adansi Asokwa constituency, Honourable Kwabena Tahil Hammond, that we vote massively for him and enjoy the light.

We did our best by achieving and fulfilling his promise but we have not met him in person ever since he was voted into power.

We are tired of Ghanaian leaders, all they want from us is our vote for them to go and enjoy the national cake without thinking about the hardship we go through.

But Nana Saba, the Odikro for the community who spoke to soireenews off camera said, per his engagement, he is optimistic that the community will have access to electricity.
