During a day of anti-military junta demonstrations, at least one person died in Guinea.

According to reports from the nation's capital, Conakry, a teenager was shot and killed by security personnel as Col. Mamady Doumbouya's convoy traveled through the area.

According to an opposition group, two young men were shot.

Cops dispute this.

During the day, fights broke out as protesters threw stones at police, who fired tear gas in return.

Many persons were taken into custody.

All protests are prohibited in Guinea, where the military has been in control since last September. Within three years, it promised to transition to civilian rule.
