A teacher believe to be in his late 40s named Amankona Foster a.k.a Tarla has butchered  a 35-year old electrician, Paa Yaw who he owns at Mpatasie, a suburb of  Berekum  in the Bono Region of Ghana

Assembly Member for Mpataasie Electoral Area Honorable Gabriel Kyere, a.k.a IGP who narrated the incident to Soiree News Nana Ama Asiedu, said on Saturday, April 17, 2021, around 7:30 am, Paayaw had gone to Mr Amankona Foster a.k.a Tarla at his residence in Berekum –Mpatasie to retrieve his GHC2000 debt.

According to Honorable Gabriel Kyere, the deceased credited an amount of GHC2000 to an unidentified person and Mr Foster who led the person to borrow the money from Paayaw served as a witness to the debtor, his decision to collect the money from Forster after the debtor failed to pay the money.

Paayaw’s visit according to the Assembly Member ended in an augment between the two which out of anger, Teacher Forster brought out a cutlass from his room and struck his hand before he fell unconscious a few seconds later. However, Paayaw according to Honorable Kyereh was pronounced dead on arrival at the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum.

Soiree News visit to the deceased house got us to engage with the widow, Madam Emelia Baah who narrated how she got the news of the death of his husband. According to her, it was a friend of his late husband who called to inform her of the incident but didn’t reveal the sudden demise to her.

She disclosed that the friend instructed her to come to the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum where she got the news from the nurses over there.

When asked what she knew about his late husband’s monetary affair with his murderer, Madam Emelia Baah told that she was not aware of any arrangement whatsoever.

“My husband did not tell me anything about his monetary arrangement with Forster. I don’t know anything about his finances, not even his savings”, the widow painfully narrated.

She is therefore calling for justice for his late husband and helps to take care of her three children she had with his late husband.

The body of Paayaw has been conveyed and deposited at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital morgue pending autopsy and preservation.

 The murderer has since taken to his heels after the incident and was nowhere to be found at the time of filing this report.

The Police at Berekum has however launched a search and investigation into the matter to bring the victim to book.
