Tain MP Supports Tertiary Students With His Share Of GETFund

The Member of Parliament for Tain District in the Bono Region, Hon. Sulemana Adama, has offered his assurances to play a pivotal role in the educational journey of students in his constituency as he disbursed a sum of GH167,000 from GETFUND and GH27,000 from his Common Fund to 74 Tertiary Students in the District.

The Member of Parliament for Tain District in the Bono Region, Hon. Sulemana Adama has offered his assurances to play a pivotal role in the educational journey of students in his constituency as he disbursed a sum of GH167,000 from GETFUND and GH27,000 from his Common Fund to 74 Tertiary Students in the District. 
The MP Reiterated his commitment to building the educational capacity of his constituents started even when he was not a Member of Parliament.
“I started supporting educational cause even before I became a parliamentary candidate and subsequently becoming an MP and I have decided to responsibly do as I have promised”, he stressed.
The lawmaker had earlier promised to sponsor students in his constituency with his MP’s common funds. 
According to him, this initiative would boost the morale of other young children in the constituency to also take their education seriously. 
He explained that this is one of the ways he intends to use to boost education in the Tain constituency. 
He however used the opportunity to advise the students on their role in society and encouraged them to aim high in their academic pursuits.
The lawmaker called on his other colleagues and philanthropist to reciprocate his action to help groom future leaders education-wise.
Reacting to the MP’s gesture, the beneficiaries' representative Agyeiwaa Joycelyn  Tannoh expressed their support granted them.
She assured she and her other colleagues will ensure the gesture will not go waste by learning harder.
“We are grateful to the MP and we assure him we will learn harder to make him proud”, she stated.
