Super Bowl half-time performance in 2024 will include Usher

It has been announced that Usher will be the featured performer at the Super Bowl half-time show in 2024.

Super Bowl half-time performance in 2024 will include Usher

The R&B singer follows in the footsteps of Rihanna, whose stunning performance in February of last year served as a pregnancy announcement.

Usher said it was a once-in-a-lifetime honor to cross performing at a Super Bowl off his bucket list.

I'm eager to present the world with a performance unlike anything they've ever seen from me.

The singer, whose multi-platinum songs included You Make Me Wanna, Pop Ya Collar, Yeah!, Burn, and Confessions Pt II, was one of the biggest talents of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

He previously appeared at the Super Bowl in 2011, when the Black Eyed Peas were the headlining act. During that performance, he executed an incredible leap over will.i.am before landing in the splits.

Usher, a joint venture between Jay-Z and who recently extended his residency at the Park MGM hotel in Las Vegas, had been mentioned as a potential headlining act for this year's performance.

His involvement is the most recent outcome of the NFL's collaboration with Jay-Z's entertainment company Roc Nation, which was established in 2019 to improve the caliber of the Super Bowl halftime show.

The corporation also provided the 2022 all-star team, which included Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and 50 Cent, in addition to Rihanna's performance.

In 2021, The Weeknd was the featured act, and in 2020, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez performed together.

Since the booking is so famous, many performers elect not to accept payment. The most watched halftime show in history included Rihanna, whose performance this year garnered 121.017 million people.

Usher will release a new album on the day of the Super Bowl in recognition of that audience. The follow-up to his 2016 album Hard II Love, which reached the top 10 on both the US and UK album charts, is titled Coming Home.

The celebrity made a suggestion that he might invite special guests to share the stage with him while speaking with Apple Music's Zane Lowe.

I've worked with a lot of fantastic musicians throughout the years, I guess," the singer, who has duets with Alicia Keys, Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, and 21Savage, remarked.

As R&B showmanship was introduced to the Super Bowl stage by artists like Michael Jackson and Prince, he also considered their legacy.

"You think about all the people who have played it and just the idea of how Jay-Z and Roc Nation have really brought a mindfulness to our culture," the man stated.

"Thirty years of a career deserves this kind of moment," he continued. "Some individuals wait their entire lives, you get what I mean? However, I do not believe that this is my lifetime. I feel like I'm just beginning to truly, really feel at ease.

Jay-Z claimed Usher would be the ideal choice for the show in a statement.

"Usher is the best artist and performer there is. He's been navigating his own special path ever since his debut at the age of 15," the actor stated in a statement.

Beyond his faultless vocals and superb dancing, Usher bares his soul. He has arrived at one of the biggest platforms in the world thanks to his incredible trip. I am eager to witness the magic.

Next year's Super Bowl will take place on 11 February, 2024, at the $2 billion Las Vegas at Allegiant Stadium.
