Sunyani: roadside traders eviction, victims appeal for consideration.

Some traders in the Sunyani central business area of the city who trade on the “masom masom me” are pleading with the authorities to allow them to transact their businesses.

According to them, they admit it is unsafe to trade on the roadside but the market is already chocked and congested, hence their plea.
“We are aware of the dangers involved in trading here, we encounter so many problems and challenges with truck pushers, pragyia drivers, taxi drivers, and private vehicles drivers but the truth is that we have no option as the central market is chocked and congested’, some of the traders who spoke to Soiree News expressed.
They said they do support the decongestion exercise by the S.M. A but before God and man, they are not moving until the Assembly renovates the Nana Bosoma.
They said, “there is no security to ensure our protection t and watch over our goods, hence moving there too will not help us,” others said.
“Some of us are single parents, widows, etc who have gone for loans to work so if we are sacked how are we going to pay school fees and home bills.  How will we even survive as the system is not working”, they questioned.
They are therefore pleading with the S.M.A to allow them to operate on the Masom Masom lane so that they can work on the Bosoma market and put it in order.
