Speaking in an interview with Soireenews. com, the Central Regional HIV Coordinator, Mr Isaac Adisi adviced the people of Dunkwa to desist from stigmatizing against people infected with the HIV Virus.

As part of the measures taken by the Ghana Health Service and the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG) to curb HIV prevalence in Ghana by the year 2030, the management of CHAG in collaboration with the Municipal Health Directorate in the Upper Denkyira East has held a day stakeholder engagement meeting at Dunkwa-on-Offin
Speaking in an interview with Soireenews. com, the Central Regional HIV Coordinator, Mr Isaac Adisi adviced the people of Dunkwa to desist from stigmatizing against people infected with the HIV Virus.
It is estimated that averagely 22 out of every 100 people have HIV in upper Denkyira, Pregnant women also transmit to child, Hairdressers and Barbers should also sterilize their machines after use.

Moreover, the Lead of Christian Health Association of Ghana, Madam Magareth Kabbah lamented that HIV is not an illness but rather a condition which most at times get stigmatized at, so we all should put a our hand on deck to help those with HIV. 
Getting HIV doesn't mean you are going to die if only one takes his or her well(Antsi Retroviral Drugs)  medication.we should not make life difficult for people living with HIV," she said.
The Municipal Public Health Nurse who doubles as the Deputy Health Director Madam Alberta Inkoom also pleaded to the people of Upper Denkyira East to avoid stigmatization on HIV/AIDS and TB patients since the Health Professionals aim at lowering the spread of the viruses. 
She also commended the Municipality for thier support in curbing.
