Stop calling me father when I enter the chamber, it's not ethical - Bagbin warns Mps

The Right Honorable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has asked members of parliament to stop giving him accolades when entering or leaving the chamber of parliament.

According to the longest-serving member of parliament in the fourth republic, it is unethical for members to be shouting his name when he is leading a procession to the chamber.

"Yes am the father of the house, but that can not be said, when you're on a procession coming to the house, please let there be an end to" father oo father" am grateful for the levitation but that is not ethical " Bagbin stressed

Speaking about why he chooses to dress the African way to preside over the house, he revealed that, he respects the customs and traditions of Africa.

'If you don't love yourself, nobody will love you, if you don't treasure yourself, nobody will treasure you, of you don't market yourself, nobody will market you if you somebody better than you, you will continue to be a slave to that person, let liberate ourselves from a mental slave, I have shown the way, if you don't follow, you will be left behind" he said.

The speaker charges members to value Ghana and market Ghana not by word but by actions.
