SPUTNIK V VACCINES TRANSACTION INVESTIGATION: AFENYO-MARKIN & AKANDO CLASH OVER REPORT

        Parliament today adopted the report of the investigation committee which looked into the practices and actions of Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu in the purchase of the Sputnik V Vaccine.

The Speaker put the report on the floor and embers adopted it. After the adoption of the report, the Chairman of the Committee, Alexandra Afenyo Markin said the Committee which comprised of Members from both Majority and Minority did a thorough work before submitting the same.

He was happy that though the Ministry of Health, led by Minister Kwaku Agyeman Manu paid GHS 9m for supplies to be made, the unsupplied vaccines cash was returned to the State.

Meanwhile, the Ranking Member on Health Committee, also The MP for Juaboso, Kwabena Minta Akandoh cited the illegalities contained in the report, stressing by now the Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu should not be at post.

The Minority hinted at a sensor process to oust the Minister of the Ministry.
