Ghanaian newswriter, Ameyaw Debrah has disclosed that he never publishes news about Shatta Wale on his platform because the artiste has threatened to kill him if he ever does so.

In what is a first-time revelation about his estranged relationship with the Dancehall king, Ameyaw Debrah revealed that he and Shatta Wale can never get along as he's not a fan of people who don't value the lives of others.

He said this while speaking in an exclusive interview on Nkonkonsa YouTube. He explained that their rift has been ongoing for the past seven years; back when he had written a story about Shatta Wale and the artiste threatened to kill him after taking offense in the news piece. According to him, Shatta Wale had said:

“if you value your life, then don’t write about me…'' after reading the piece he wrote.

This he reckons, is the sole reason he has chosen to blacklist Shatta Wale from his site. He noted that since the threat, nothing on Shatta Wale or anything related to him has been published on his platforms.

"So, what I’ve done is I’ve blacklisted him for over almost 7 years. I don’t write about him...On record, the worst which has moved from years to years will be my relationship with Shatta Wale'', he said.

He then narrated what transpired between him and the artiste after they had coincidentally boarded the same aircraft to Tamale for a musical concert. He stated that after he had taken pictures with other celebrities, he snubbed Shatta Wale and refused to take pictures with him. 

Ameyaw Debrah pointed out that even when Shatta Wale won Artiste of the Year in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards years ago, he only wrote about Sarkodie who also won three awards during the awards event.

He however noted that Shatta Wale has tried to reach out to him a couple of times but he is scared for his life and is unsure whether to patch things up since the artiste can easily decide to take up the threat anyway.

“it’s been fun. I mean if I haven’t written about the most influential person in the world for six years and I’ve survived, it shows that sometimes people talk for nothing’’. He said.
