Shatta Wale stays neutral between the NPP and NDC, promises to support the victorious party

Ghanaian artiste, Shatta Wale, has warned off anyone planning to use his image for political campaigns.

According to him, he has decided to stay neutral and will only support whomever Ghanaians elect into power when the 2020 general elections are over. He made this statement in reaction to his colleague celebrities taking different stances for the two major political parties in Ghana; the incumbent NPP and the opposing NDC.

Shatta Wale, who is known to have strong NDC affiliations has seemingly made a U-turn on his stance when it comes to political parties. He has been associated with the NDC for a long while because of his father's relationship with the party. Shatta Wale is also a favourite of the current President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo, who is obviously NPP.

This has left him at a crossroads when it comes to picking sides. The 'Already' hitmaker has now chosen to stay neutral between the two parties for good measure.

Shatta Wale, who knows that himself staying neutral does not mean the parties would not use his songs, has sent a strong warning to all the parties involved in the elections. He emphatically stated no one should use his songs going forward.

"NOTICE: Moving forward ..no one should use my picture or my brand on any political campaign or platforms . Myself and my loyal fans will support and coperate with any person who Ghanaians elect as their president.." he wrote in his twitter page.

This move is sure to force the political parties to approach him formally to perform at their campaign grounds should they need to use his songs which can make him earn some ‘fat’ money.
