Severe Downpour Wrecks Havock To Footbridge In Central Region

Residents of Gomoa Mamfam in the central region's Gomoa East district are in terror and despair after a strong downpour wrecked their footbridge. 

Residents claim that their children, who were meant to go to school, are currently staying at home because of the severe downpour destroying their footbridge. 

Residents told Soireenews in an interview that they are unable to go to work or the market, and that the situation is alarming and depressing. 

Residents also revealed that the torrential rains had ruined many homes, making them homeless. 


Residents are pleading with their member of parliament for the area, Desmond De-Graft Kwasi Paitoo, to intervene as soon as possible. 


Meanwhile, the Abusapynin, Nana Kow Arhin, one of the area's thought leaders, voiced concern over the unfortunate situation and called on members of parliament from the area to come to their aid.
