Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Chief elected as Council of State Rep

The elected nominee of the Council of State election in the Western North, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagamah ll has promised to work hard at the Council level to better the region.

The Paramount chief of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional area, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagamah ll has been elected as the Council of State Representative for Western North.

He polled 18 votes against his 3 contestants which is 100 per cent from the 18  delegates in the nine districts.

Before the election the former Member of Parliament for Bibiani Anhwiaso-Bekwai, also former Minister of Habour and railways, Honorable Christopher Addae stepp down and  rallied his support for the elected nominee, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagamah.

He disclosed that with all due respect he would not contest with such a royal because he played a very major role in the creation of the Western North region.

The Omanhene of Bibiani Anhwiaso who doubles as the Western North Regional House of Chief president and also current National House of chief president ex-officio member of the Council of State, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi commended the delegates for such a peaceful election and also scoring 18-0 for the elected nominee.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi promised that together with the elected nominee at the council level, they will fight for the betterment of the region.

The Omanhene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional area, Katakyie Kwasi Bumagamah ll after the election expressed his profound gratitude to the  delegates and promised to work tremendously for the betterment of the new region.
