Honourable Alban Bagbin has called on the minority to leave up to the standing orders of the Parliament House.

The Right Honorable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has charged the NDC caucus in parliament to refer to the NPP as Majority since they have the support of the independent Member of parliament for Fomena to their numbers. 

He made this ruling after the majority chief whip Honorable Frank Annor Dompreh called on him to advise the NDC members to refer to them as Majority members of the house as he the speaker has ruled.

Given the ruling on the matter, the longest-serving MP in Ghana's parliament and now the Speaker of the House, Alban Bagbin asked the MPs to continuously read the standing orders of the house to enlighten them on their dealings.

He said, there are parliamentary parties in the house of parliament with one independent member.

Mr speaker reminded the MPS  that the independent member has announced his intentions to do business with the NPP, and therefore, it makes the NPP Majority in the house hence his address that NPP and the independent member constitute parliamentary majority group.

The speaker explained that the term caucus is not in the standing orders of the house but it's been practised. He explained that the term is made in reference to a group of people be it political parties, Christians gender and many more.
