Gunmen kills two persons in Jantong, others sustains gunshot wounds

Two persons have been shot dead on Wednesday 16th, 2022 in a chieftaincy dispute at Jantong in the North East Gonja District of the Savannah region.

Five other persons sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds and were rushed to the Tamale Teaching hospital for treatment.

Victims of the renewed Chieftaincy conflict were believed to have been ambushed by suspected rivalry.

The deceased persons are Seidu Abdulai 40, and one Hawa, age 53, and their remains have been deposited at the same hospital morgue.

About three houses have been burnt down in the dispute.
