Sarkodie honors Blacko on his birthday, saying "Black Sherif is a gem"
Black Sherif celebrated his 22nd birthday on January 9th, and Sarkodie has joined the countless Ghanaians and admirers throughout the globe in celebrating him.

The current VGMA Artiste of the Year, Black Sherif, was called a diamond and a worldwide talent by Sarkodie in a birthday message.
“A gem ???? was born today @blacksherif_ … Happy birthday international BLACKO,” he tweeted.
Black Sherif's music has gained global prominence in the past few years. This accomplishment is undoubtedly the result of hard labor, and there is constant pressure to do well.
But in a 2022 interview with Graphic Showbiz, the youthful Konongo Zongo guy stated that he constantly pushes himself to perform better.
"It took perseverance and hard effort to get to where I am now. I constantly pick up new skills from the best musicians to broaden my knowledge. I can only get better at what I do if I push myself to surpass my own records.Every time I put out a song, I ought to be able to release a more crazier one. It's the only way I can gauge my own performance.
Speaking about his notoriety on a global scale, Black Sherif attributed his success to perseverance and hard work.
"Having everyone around you is a wonderful sensation, but getting here has not been simple at all. Contrary to popular belief, Black Sherif did not suddenly become such. Writing great music and being myself have been difficult tasks, but I'm happy that the years of effort are now paying off," he remarked.
