Chelsea CHASTENS Grimsby, Liverpool MARCH on against the DONS as Red Devils DANCE on Penalties
Chelsea celebrate 7-1 at Stamford Bridge

Liverpool scored in both halves to qualify to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Jurgen Klopp made 11 changes to the side that won 2-1 at Chelsea on Sunday.

Youngsters, Caoimhin Kelleher, Harvey Elliott and Rhian Brewster were handed their competitive debuts for the Reds.

Tisdale made five changes to the side that were beaten 1-0 at home by Southend at the weekend. Stuart Moore replaced Lee Nicholls in goal, while George Williams, Jordan Bowery, Alex Gilbey and Brendan Dickenson came in for Hiram Boateng, Dean Lewington, Russell Martin and Jordan Houghton.

Liverpool dictated play for MK Dons in the opening minutes but the home side were hard to break by the Reds in the opening minutes. Milner, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lallana showed their confidence in the youngsters around them as they suppled them with the ball to make impression the game.

Elliot came close to scoring in the 12-minute. Milner escaped down the left, shrugged off Williams, and put the ball on a plate for Harvey Elliott, but with the goal at his mercy, he struck the underside of the bar.

James Milner scored the first goal for the Reds in the 41-minute after goalkeeper Moore’s error in post. The Redman collected the ball out wide. He caught onto his right foot and hit the ball on target. It didn’t really move in the air, but Moore could only fumble it over the line.

Hoever doubled the lead in the 69- minute after meeting Milner’s cross from the left to head past Staurt Moore.

Chelsea 7 - 1 Grimsby

Chelsea won for the first time this season at home by putting seven past Grimsby at Stamford Bridge.

It took four minutes for Ross Barkley to score for the Blues. Pedro laid the ball off to the former Everton man 25 yards from goal. He took a touch and decided to burst into the box himself rather than pass. He found some space and drilled a low shot inside McKeown's near post.

Batsuayi scored the second two minutes later after a deflected cross fell his path/. He sharply turned and found the buttom of the net.

An awful defense from Chelsea allowed a long ball forward to find its way to Hanson, he nodded it on into the path of Matt Green, who had plenty of work to do but thundered an absolute beauty of an effort from 20 yards past the helpless Caballero. Pedro scored for a penalty before the first half ended.

Zouma nipped a ball into the net in the 56 before Reece James scores his debut. Batsuayi added his second two minutes later before Hudson Odoi wrapped it up with a perfect goal on his return from injury.

Manchester United 1 - 1 Rochdale (United won 5-4 on penalties)

Two goals were shared between Manchester United and Rochdale at Old Trafford. Mason Greenwood scored for the Red Devils in the 68-minute but Rochdale responded eight minutes later through L. Matheson.

Keohane missed his kick as the Red Devils qualified into the fourth round after James hit the final spot kick.
