Sam George’s ‘Religious Prostitute’ Comment On Bawumia Is In Right Direction–Follower Of Islam Defends Ningo-Prampram Legislator
A FOLLOWER Of Islam Religion who doubles as a leading member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Mustapha  Abubakar, has strongly supported the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Honourable Sam Nartey George, for labelling Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a religious prostitute.

According to Mustapha Abubakar, as a practicing Muslim he sees nothing wrong with what Sam George said against the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He stressed that no true Muslim will take the Oath of Faith to Allah(Kalima Shahada) and then move to another religion whose beliefs are contrary to Islam to seek benediction.
He asserted that Honourable Sam George only reiterated what most Islamic scholars and Muslims across the country have been saying.
Mr Mustapha Abubakar was of the view that" The point is, No true Muslim will go to the church and join in praises and Christian worship. Never at all. Its against Islamic doctrine.
"No true Christian will visit the mosque and join us in our 5 daily prayers. Has anyone seen all our Christian Presidents right from Rawlings to Kufuor, Mills, Mahama and Nana Addo joining Muslims in their obligatory prayers in the mosque? The answer is No," he explained.
Mr Mustapha Abubakar pointed out that It is not wrong for a Muslim to go to church when invited but "you don't join them in their worship.
He stressed that "Likewise it's not wrong for a Christian to go to the mosque when invited but you can't join us in our prayers."
According to Mr Mustapha Abubakar, the
politicians usually come to the mosque, sit aside until after Prayers when they are invited to deliver their speech and leave.
He asked that "Why can't Bawumia go to the Church, sit and listen to the sermon and when he's called to make a statement, he does so and leaves, adding that" As a Muslim, the Quran is explicitly clear on the duties of a Muslim. "
"Again the NPP frantic attempt to pitch Sam George against the Chief Imam is nothing but deliberate of diversionist tactics. But they have failed.
"You can't be a Muslim and a Christian at the same time.
"Those hypocrite Muslims in the NPP must remember that Allah will judge each and every one of us on our deeds and actions on the day of Judgement.
"As a true Muslim I will follow the teachings of the Quran and Sunna and not the parochial political interest of individuals," he said.
Mr Mustapha Abubakar stressed that Bawumia should not divide this country along religious lines, adding that "We and our Christian brethren have lived in harmony for decades without any problem.Don't start a religious war Mr Vice President."
He urged all to watch this video of the Ahlussuna Imam when he was asked about Bawumia conduct in a church.
Mustapha Abubakar noted that the MP rebuked the vice President and said it was wrong. This is in the Hausa language.
