Sadio Mane's 18-year-old wife says, "I'm not interested in his money or fame"

The 18-year-old bride of Senegalese football sensation Sadio Mane, Aisha Tamba, has made a rare confession regarding their recent marriage: she says she isn't interested in the player's notoriety or wealth.

Former Liverpool player Sadio Mane, who now plays for Al Nassr, married Aisha Tamba on January 7 in an Islamic ceremony in Keur Massar, a Senegalese neighborhood of Dakar.

The couple's union has garnered a lot of attention, especially considering that Mane is a multi-millionaire football player who makes an astounding £650,000 every week.

Aisha, who comes from a lowly family, lived in a modest area of Dakar with about thirty relatives living in her home.

She is steadfast in her resolve to stay loyal to her roots despite the striking contrast between her former existence and the opulent living that comes with Mane's success.

Aisha gave her thoughts on her new life in a statement that was sent through a family member and published by MailOnline.

"I am excited for my future life, which I know will be significantly different from this one. However, I don't feel under any pressure because I have no interest in Sadio's fame or wealth, and they won't change who I am. I'm going to stay a modest person who is devoted to my religion.

Aisha made it clear that she cherishes her privacy and plans to remain true to her modest upbringing, even with the increased attention that comes with being a football player's wife.

We are a very private family, so I'm not used to having so much attention on me," she declared. We dislike bragging about ourselves or talking about our private lives. I was raised in this practical manner, therefore nothing about my personality will change as a result of our marriage.

She added a note of appreciation, saying, "But I'm very honored to be Mrs. Mane now."

After she finishes her last school exams this year, Aisha is scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia to join Mane.
