SAD! Speeding Truck runs over schoolboy at Awutu Beraku

A young schoolboy believed to be 9 years has this morning met his untimely death after a tipper truck on a tough speed knocked him down.

The source indicates that the deceased was on his way to school with his brother, both of them upon crossing the road at Akrampa junction a stretch on a Kasoa Winneba Highway, a tipper truck with the registration number GR 8763-21 was from Kasoa heading towards Awutu Beraku killed the young schoolboy.

 Speaking with some eyewitness averred that, such accidents persistent occur here since there are no speed ramps to reduce vehicle's speed.

They are therefore calling on the Ministry of Highway to as a matter of urgency come to their aid and curb the situation.

  Meanwhile, Winneba Chief Inspector Teiko in an interview with the media also confirmed the sorrowful accident and said the deceased has been sent to Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.

The Tipper car is in police custody at Awutu Breaku District Police station for investigation.
