Residents, traders petition SMA over “pay as you dump” policy
Some traders at the Nana Bosoma Market have petitioned the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to stop its revenue officers from charging them before dumping their waste at the site.

Some traders at the Nana Bosoma Market have petitioned the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to stop its revenue officers from charging them before dumping their waste at the site.
According to them, there is nothing like value for money since they are compelled to stay with the stench emanating from the dump when even it is full.
They said, though they pay collectors at the site, the site is always full beyond maximum as the authorities look unconcern to evacuate the refuse from the area.
The traders also alleged the monies charged them were exorbitant which needs to be looked at. They have since charged the Sunyani Municipal Assembly to stop their revenue collectors from charging them before duping their refuse.
They have ever feared should the issue not be looked at, the area will soon be filled with refuse
