The poor condition of roads at Assin Fosu has compelled the Queen mother of the area who doubles as Acting Chief of Assin Fosu and acting President of Afutuakwa Traditional Council, Nana Afransie IV to register her displeasure over what she termed as total neglect of road infrastructural development.

Speaking to Central Regional Soireenews Correspondent Abusuapanyin Kojo Ahinful, the queen mother stressed that, Assin Fosu has consistently given the NPP a jaw-dropping victory in both parliamentary and presidential elections since the year 2000, yet, town roads, in particular, are in a very shambolic and heart-wrenching state as many motorists and commuters struggle to ply safely to their destinations.

She however appealed through the Central Regional Minister to the government to have the town roads fixed.

She made the statement when the Central Regional Minister Justina  Marigold Assan toured Assin Central Constituency as part of her mission to transform the district and the region as a whole.

Nana Afransie IV lamented over the disheartening abandonment of projects such as schools, health centres, etc. that was due for completion.

She has however called for completion of the road to ease the stress inhabitants go through to access such basic social amenities.
