Push for tax deduction on what you earns instead of 20% COLA - Labour Expert to Organize Labour

Mr. Aboloso, a Labour Expert is advising the leadership of the organized labor to push for a tax deduction on what they earn at the end of the month.

Speaking in an interview on Wednesday morning with our correspondent Nana Anfreh Damanata, the Labour Expert said even though things are difficult and workers need some remedy, if the 20% cost of living allowance is approved will make their taxation income go high and they will not benefit from it.

  He suggested to the leadership of organized labor to push for a reduction in taxation on what they are earning to free up more money in their pockets.

Mr. Aboloso was reacting to the agitation between striking teachers and the government on their 20% COLA.

He, therefore, urged the teacher unions to call off their strike and go back to classrooms.

Mr. Aboloso backs Deputy Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Bright Wireko Brobbey that, the labor law does not permit negotiations to start when the strike is still in force.
