Produce the mortal remains of President John Evans Atta Mills-Samuel Atta Mills demands from the government

Following the breaking of the tomb of the Late President, H.E. John Evans Atta Mills by the collaborated effort of Atta Mills Institute (AMI) and the Coastal Development Authority (CODA), the blood brother of the Late President is demanding the whereabout of the mortal remains from the President Nana Akufo Addo, National Security, Ghana Police Service, and Atta Mills Institute.

The Komenda Edina Eguafo Abrem Constituency Member of Parliament raised the concern at a press conference in parliament on Tuesday, July 19,202 describing the act as unfortunate and unacceptable.

According to the aggrieved brother, Honourable Samuel Atta Mills, the Leader of the AMI, Mr. Koku Anyidoho and the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo -Addo who are culprits in the barbaric and dehumanizing act must produce the mortal remains of the Late President. "Being President today, you may not be aware of your death and what happens to your corpse.

The fact remains that as you did to another, exactly so shall be done to you", he angrily warned. According to him, his family was not consulted about the dehumanizing act. He called on the government to as a matter of urgency stop the AMI and the CODA from proceeding with their intended move.

He maintained that the family of the Late President John Evans Atta Mills does not recognize the group and therefore has no right whatsoever to exhume the body under the pretense of rebuilding the Asomdwe Park, the resting place of the Late President.

He, therefore, called on the perpetrators of the heinous crime to immediately produce the body of the Late President. "My question is: why did you exhume the body of somebody's family member without notifying the family", he quizzed. "What kind of prayers were made before embarking on the unlawful act? And for what purpose did you do th a t   ? he fumed.

Though he conceded that the Late President John Evans Atta Mills was a former President and by inspection, a property of the state, he stated emphatically that the family reserve the right to know what happens to the body. "What did you put or take from the grave and who has the body in their possession now", he queried.

He said the family would not tolerate any act of disrespect, therefore, urging the perpetrators to bow their heads in shame for their disgraceful act and do the honorable thing by producing the body. "Now the government allows an NGO to run Asomdwe Park? The government allows NGOs with the CODA to run the Asomdwe Park, get ready other NGOs are going to run your grave", he further warned.

He warned the government should produce the body. "What kind of rituals did you perform over there? When curses are coming after you, don't blame anybody", he said. "If you are a President, don't think you will not die. President Akufo Addo, where is the body of President John Evans Atta Mills? I pause to demand an answer", he added.
