The investigation by the Asamankese police has revealed, that a man identified as Emmanuel Gafa has allegedly killed his wife and his two children while locked them in a room at Akyem Ntronang in the Birim North Municipalities in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Patience Kpezle,38, and her two kids -Belinda Nyarko, age 13, and Isaac Nyarko Gafa, age 11, were found dead in a room locked from outside.

The man has disappeared from the community since Sunday after the odious crime.

Speaking to the media, the Assemblymember for the area, Dodze Samuel revealed that he received a distressed call from some residents informing him that since last Sunday they haven’t seen or heard from the woman and her children so he came to their house to find out they were dead and locked inside their room.

He quickly called the police to come to the scene which forced the room to open.

According to the Assemblymember, the two dead children were not the biological father of the man.

He opined that the wife Patience Kpezle hailed from a town called Nyanua a suburb of Asamankese in the West Akyem Municipality of Eastern region, but moved with the children to stay with her husband Akyem Ntronang after getting married.

He said the couples were notorious for quarrelling quite often which their Pastor and other opinion leaders help them to settle.

The Birim North District Police Commander; Chief Superintendent Peter Ofori Donkor said the bodies have been deposited at Abirem Government Hospital mortuary for autopsy whilst police are on a manhunt for the suspect husband now at large.
