The Headteacher of Achanyere Junior high school at Chuchuliga in the Builsa North Municipality, Mr Cornelius has expressed disappointment in the abysmal attendants of students in the school.

Mr Cornelius stresses that the situation is extremely affecting teaching and learning at the school and the rate at which students absent themselves from school to engage in " by-day" purposely for money to buy their needs is disturbing.

Mr Cornelius blamed the Ghana Education Service for all the problems the school is facing, explaining that the restriction impounded on teachers against corporal punishment has given the students unlimited freedom.

He told that if students fail to make better grades although some parents are happy at the situation of non-punishment, teachers take the blame for non-performance.

He further condemned the parents' attitude of refusing to corporate with teachers by making sure their wards attend school every day.

Mr Cornelius, therefore, used the opportunity to appeal to authorities especially parents and guardians to come to a consensus of straightening up the children for the betterment of the country.
