Political officers' salaries and allowances are the greatest threat to Ghana's development-Political activists.

.Mr Samuel Boateng, an outspoken political activist in Ghana, claims that politicians' salaries and allowances are a result of the country's developmental lag.

In an interview with Kwaku Mensah Abrampa on Gye Nyame FM's Adeakye Abia, Mr. Samuel Boateng stated that the wages and allowances of Ghanaian politicians infer that they believe they are the sole working force in the country, which is not the case.

He stated that politicians in Ghana are not worth their salaries and other benefits, stating that ministers are only responsible for implementing government policies, with all other developmental work being done by civil servants, and that ministers and politicians are paid more than active workers at various ministries and state institutions, adding that the work of these politicians cannot be compared to that of health workers, teachers, and other public servants.

Mr. Samuel Boateng emphasized that the country's government workers are suffering greatly as a result of the inadequate service conditions.

He disclosed that the most concerning part of working in the arena is the bad service conditions that affect practically every Ghanaian worker, implying that the government's response is inadequate.
