Police Crime Officer With The Central East Regional Police Command Lands In Contempt Case In Court Over Land Grabbing Wrangle 

THE SENIOR Police officer with the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the Central East Regional Police Command Headquarters located at Millennium City in the Central Region, Superintendent Owusu Djumoh has been accused for allegedly engaging in the high profile corrupt practice in connection with the land transactional litigation cases in the area.

Superintendent Owusu Djumoh who doubles as the Central East Police Regional Crime Officer was currently being accused by the 21st Century Construction Company Limited of using his position to instruct one Micheal  Koffie Amecudzi and Samuel Anang Agyei to proceeds on their construction on property No 245 and 243 situate at lying at Millennium City Sector 3 Block A.

This inhumane behavior of the senior police officer has informed the decision of the leadership of the 21st Century Construction Company to inform their lawyer with the Morganbauers Y.E.S, Legal HR and Advisory firm to cite the police officer with contempt.

However,the company through its solicitor on Thursday November 23, 2024 served Superintendent Owusu Djumoh with contempt notice of the court for condoning and conniving with some people to build on a land belonging to 21st Century Construction Company.

The contempt which is in possession of this news outlet reads in party; " l act as solicitor for 21st Century Construction Company (hereinafter referred to as "My Client") and l have its firm instructions to write to you above stated subject.

It has come to the attention of My Client that you have instructed one Micheal  Koffie Amecudzi and Samuel Anang Agyei to proceeds on their construction on property No 245 and 243 situate at lying at Millennium City Sector 3 Block A.

Pleased be guided that the said land is covered by a Writ of possession in the case 21st Century Construction Company verses Alhaji Ahmed Hijo in suit No:C1/36/20. In this case Micheal Koffii Amecudzi applied with 51 orders to have a defence and the said application was struck out with a cost of GH¢ 500.00 awarded against Micheal Koffii Amecudzi. As such the said execution is in vogue on the subject land.

Also in Gomoa Nyanyano Stool and 181 others verses 21st Century Construction Company, suit No: E1/012/24 pending before the High Court, Winneba the said Micheal Koffii Amecudzi is the 6th plaintiff, the plaintiffs therein have filed motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.

My client was reliably informed that through its Director Baba Alhaji Ibrahim and believes same to be true that , you on the 21st day of November , 2023 at your office gave Micheal Koffii Amecudzi and Samuel Anang Agyei the go ahead with their development of the land under litigation with a pending application for interlocutory injunction as well as the above mentioned writ of possession which the Judicial Secretary and the Director of Legal Department of the Ghana Police Service as well as the Central East Regional Police Command which you are a senior police officer therein are assisting the court and my client to execute.

Please be warned that your action is quasi criminal as same tantamount to aiding and abetment to overreached the courts of Ghana which you are a public officer must not be seen doing. 

Be advised to reconsider your orders, intrusions or anything of that nature which embroidens or allows the said Micheal Koffii Amecudzi and Samuel Anang Agyei to proceed in their criminal enterprise.

Kindly take notice that my client or any person armed withe the information of this qyasi crime being committed is at liberty to commence legal action against you for contempt of court and should there be the need for notice to be served on you before such action, this letter can be served that purpose and notice is here served," the letter concluded.

Aside this development, intelligence gathered so far indicates that the crime officer is doing business with land matters instead of sending the matters to the law court.

It has emerged at least six victims who have reported land cases to him but, he made a U-turn to liase with their opponents.
