Some communities in some parts of the Tamale Metropolis are still in total darkness for the past twenty-three (23) days to date, as President Akufo Addo prepares to commission the Tamale Interchange today Tuesday 29th, 2022.

Areas such as Wurisha, Kublemahagu, Zuo, Kpawumo have been cut off from the national grid by the Northern electricity company and the Volta River Authority (NEDCo-VRA).

According to the electricity companies, residents of those areas were denied power over an individual physical encounter with their staff at Kublemahaku, sadly, they now accuse the affected areas of resisting the installation of smart meters.

This brouhaha has therefore led residents of those communities to sleep in the current sunny weather condition.

Duty bearers in the Northern Region have remained mute on the situation, with the Cooperate Affairs Director of the Volta River Authority, Mr. Kotoka threatening the residents that they won't get power until Jesus Christ is back.

As the President commissions the first-ever interchange in the North, with its lightening and funfair to attract the attention of the public to the project, the affected areas will be denied the opportunity to watch the commissioning on television because of the decision of the power companies.
