Due to claimed widespread irregularities, three opposition parties have demanded that Nigeria's election be annulled and held again.

At a press conference in the nation's capital, Abuja, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the Labour Party, and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) made the statement.

According to Julius Abure, chairman of the Labour Party, "I demand that this fraudulent election be canceled and we call on Inec to hold new elections within the window period allowed by the electoral act."
